Good news! We have a GHMHC Listserv! But, please be patient with me, especially at first
when I'll have a flood of new list members. This listserv is intended to be a way of sharing
information pertinent to Club members. When posting to the list, please remember that your
message will be broadcast to all Club members. Please respect your fellow list members by
following the guidelines below.
When you subscribe, you'll be able to set your preferences. You can either get each individual
email as it comes or get a digest which is a single email once each day with a summary of that
day's emails. You can also set a preference to only get special messages, but this means you
won't get most of the messages posted to the list, only those designated as special or high
priority.
The list is not moderated at this time, meaning I don't review messages before allowing them
to be posted to the list. I will, however, be monitoring use of the list. If we start having too
many inappropriate postings (i.e., postings violating the guidelines below or those not
germane to Club news or minis in general), I will begin moderating the list (please, please,
please don't make me have to do this!!!!). If a member posts inappropriate material or uses
the list for their own benefit, that member may be banned from the list.
General Information and Guidelines
Subscribers to this mailing list must belong to the Greater Houston Miniature Horse Club
(GHMHC). Because of the closed subscription policy, only the List Manager can add
subscribers. When you send your subscribe request, please give me a few days - I have to
verify that your membership is current before adding you to the list.
Guidelines for use:
Keep message brief & to the point. Only post information, comments, questions, etc. of
general interest to GHMHC club members!
Do not attach files to your post. If you have a file (document, photo, etc.) that needs to be
distributed, contact the List Owner.
If you have any questions, please contact the List Owner, Stacy LeBlanc, stacy.

horses for sale, rescue, etc. will be allowed. If a member seems to be abusing this policy,
that member may be banned from the list. - Do not use this listserv to post farm newsletters.
- When possible, post images to a website and direct people there rather than send
images as attachments. - Do not let your mailbox get full; all messages to full mailboxes bounce back to the List
Manager. - Unsubscribe if you leave on vacation, especially if you have an auto-response message. If
you have an auto-response message, you risk being banned from the list if it caused
problems. - Summarize public and private responses to questions posed so everyone can learn from
your question. - Please participate and help when you can! Your ideas are important. The purpose of the
Listserv is to share information. - The National Library of Medicine has a great list of listserv netiquette do's and don't's -
